Sunday, Monday

We ended up taking a chill day today instead of going into Jerusalem for Easter. We’ve been walking around so much lately I’m pretty sure my calves are going to be awesome by the end of the week.

Today, we went to the Post Office to buy a SIM card so we can finally get our phones up and running. We hung out at the beach for awhile, strolled through Neve Tzedek again, and generally had a leisurely day. I feel rested enough to make it to Jerusalem tomorrow for the priestly blessing at the Western Wall. The blessing starts at 8:45 am which means we have to be out of the apartment by 6:15 (cue blood-curdling scream) if we want to make it on time. I think it will definitely be worth it!

David was telling me today how Sundays here are considered the first day of the week, as most work-weeks in Israel run from Sunday to midday Friday (when preparation for Shabbat begins). Today was an exception, however, as many people are on a weeklong vacation for Passover.

I promise to take pictures/upload them tomorrow!
